My bluebonnets have been looking AWFUL for the past 2 weeks or so. I had a beautiful show for a few weeks, but it's been at the expense of my daylilies, silver and gold chrysanthemum, and a couple other plants. I've been stressing about their recovery, and I can finally start harvesting the bluebonnet seed and removing the dying plants. Phew!!!!
Bluebonnets! I keep forgetting you're in Central Tejas and can have them every year. I am SO jealous!
ReplyDeleteI don't have many but what I do have...I am ready to get rid of, too. I enjoyed looking at your blog.
ReplyDeleteWell, it will at least be good to get the seeds!!! They are such beautiful flowers...I see them on all the blogs from Texas!!! I wish we had more blue flowers here!
ReplyDeleteYes. We have to suffer all those brown and dying plants if we want seed for next year. I still have some I haven't pulled out. Then I have a big tub of seeds to shell. TV time, I guess. They do tend to overpower don't they?
