Club Foot Madagascar Palm

I'm a sucker. What can I say? I don't even like spiny, mean plants, so why did I buy a Club Foot Madagascar Palm? Well... it's kinda cute. It's like a Toy Poodle with the face of an American Bull Dog. It says, "LOOK AT ME! YOU WANT TO CUDDLE ME! GRRRRRAUMPH-BITE!" I like that in a plant. It's hot.

  1. Hey Cathy! Thanks! It really is adorable. I just got it, so I'm glad summer's coming up for it to put on some fabulous new growth.

  2. I'd have bought that too. It'd make a good addition to my daughter's Harry Potter garden.

  3. Jim - It does have that Womping Willow feel to it with the branching and menacing nature.

  4. I love Madagascar Palms. I haven't seen one of these before. At first I thought it was a Pachypodium saundersii, but maybe not. I'll have to check this one out. I'd love to get one.

  5. Aiyana - Actually, you might be right. I was just going by the label, but it looks a lot more like the saundersii than the namaquanum - definitely with the leaves and the smooth lower trunk. Hm.
