Birds, Blooms, and Butterflies

Yay for alliteration!

Lots of assorted things are happening around the garden.

Wildflowers are blooming.

Bachelor's Buttons (Centaurea cyanus)

Cactus are going crazy!

Prickly Pear (Opuntia) 'Old Mexico' (guessing)

Butterflies are pollinating.

Red Admiral Butterfly on African Bush Daisy (Euryops pectinatus)

Grackles are making a giant mess of the birdbath!

Gotta get this nice and soggy.

Maybe over here is better...

Stop lookin' at my butt!

Yay for spring!

    1. Yay! I'm really liking the bachelor's buttons, but I have them in too much shade. I need to get them in more sun. Ah well!

I wish we'd get some rain!!

  5. Beautiful images depicting spring. Believe it or not, it's snowing here today. Just when things were looking great out there...

  6. Cute post with the talking grackle, I swear they make a mess on purpose, then sit up in the tree laughing at me. Your images are really beautiful today, the sun on the grackle and the macro of the cactus. I really like the butterfly photo especially. It looks like one to hang on the wall.

    1. Grackles are gross. I'm pretty sure one took a dump all over me the other day. And oh god! IT STANK!!! Blech. Yuck. Awful.

Thanks! I kinda like the butterfly shot, but the framing bothers me.

  7. Ebay can be dangerous can't it? lol. I can't say I have had the same problem with cactus though. I tend to keep my distance from those. Yours are really pretty though when they bloom.
