Jarring Terrariums

For some reason, terrariums have become fascinating to me. Actually, I know the reason - they're easy! Gravel, dirt, plant, a bit of water - forget about it. At Big Lots, I found some wire bale jars that were a great size for succulents, and the opening is large enough for my hand to fit in - bonus! I'm propagating coppertone sedum, crassula variegata, and donkey tail. No pictures of the coppertone sedum - sorry!

  1. very neat, I just did that to strings of pearls and have a whole new plant. It's cool how succulents takes root so easily.

  2. Cool! And decorative! I could start plants on a windowsill this way and not have to worry about the cats getting in them.

  3. I remember doing a terrarium in an old aquarium when my kids were little, so probably twenty five years ago. It was this amazing little world that rained on its very own and just fascinated me!

  5. Good idea to use jars as terrariums! It is hard to find terrariums here. But we can find jars easily and also a lot cheaper. Thank you for stopping by my blog. Hope to see more postings from you soon.
